Office of Health Facilities is Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Near Weston, WV

William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital, a state-operated facility, is currently hiring for multiple Registered Nurse positions in Weston, WV! These are full-time positions with rotating shifts.

Nurse 2

**Special Hiring Rate: $30.86/hr. & Appointment Incentive: $10,698**

Provides direct patient care to individuals within a state psychiatric facility. Patients are individuals with fairly common and varied health problems who need information or support to regain and maintain health. Work requires preventive, habilitative or rehabilitative interventions. May serve as leader of a nursing team of licensed and unlicensed personnel. May serve with shift responsibility for a single nursing unit. Shift work may be required. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

Training: Successful completion of an associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program; plus one year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.

OR

Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited four college year or university.

Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.

Nurse 3

**Special Hiring Rate: $35.17hr. & Appointment Incentive: $12,192**

Advanced level, direct nursing services, administrative review, or program direction. Serves individuals or groups in a state psychiatric facility. Provides health care including prevention, rehabilitation services, counseling, education, and care of acute and long-term illnesses. May provide specialized direct care to patients with complex health problems. May serve as a head nurse with 24-hour responsibility for a single unit of nursing service and/or supervision of multiple units. Shift work may be required. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.

OR

Successful completion of an associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program and three years of experience as a registered professional nurse.

OR

Professional certification from a recognized national nursing certifying organization as a nurse or nurse practitioner in the area of assignment plus two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.

OR

Successful completion of an associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program; plus baccalaureate degree in the health sciences or behavioral sciences and two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in nursing.

OR

Master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.

Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.

Nurse 4

**Special Hiring Rate: $36.87/hr. & Appointment Incentive: $12,781**

Under limited supervision, performs professional work at an advanced level providing direct nursing services, administrative review, or program direction. Provides comprehensive services assessing, promoting and maintaining the health of individuals/groups in a state psychiatric facility. Provides health care including prevention, rehabilitation services, counseling, education and care of acute and long-term illnesses. Nursing interventions require advance assessment and evaluation techniques, may be unpredictable in outcome and require frequent reassessment. May supervise other health professionals in providing advanced services. May perform as an assistant director of nursing, quality assurance coordinator or in a similar level of nursing specialty in a large facility. Travel may be required Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience a a registered professional nurse.

OR

Successful completion of an Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program and six years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse. .

OR

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.
